Intramural Soccer (U9 - U10)

U9 Players born between January 1 - December 31, 2011
U10 Players born between January 1 - December 31, 2010    
Registration for Fall 2019 is open. Games begin on September 14, 2019.

Boys Program

Session Details:
  • The Boys U9-10 division (or "under 9" and "under 10" division) is for 8-10 year old boys born in 2010-2011.
  • GAME TIMES:
    • Spring / Fall: Saturdays at 10:00 A.M. or 11:00 A.M. depending on team schedule.
    • Winter: Saturdays between 9am and 2pm. Schedule will be clarified in late December.​
  • FIELD VENUE:​
    • Spring / Fall: Denton Avenue Elementary School
      1050 Denton Avenue, New Hyde Park, NY.
    • Winter: Bayside Bubble 3428 214th Place, Bayside, NY 11361 
  • GAME PLAY FORMAT:
    • Spring / Fall:
      • ​Our Intramural enrollment allows for 8-12 teams of 10-12 players each. 
      • Each team is assigned a volunteer Intramural Coach to coordinate, train, and manage the games.
      • Saturday game play will be 7 v 7 format with no goalies per the new USSF player development guidelines.
    • Winter:
      • Our Winter Intramural program consists of registering teams of 8-12 players into SUSA's league at the Bayside Bubble in Queens. Based on league enrollment, our U9-10 players will play in a U9-10 division against other town teams. 
      • 6 v 6 format (5 field players + goalie) guided by volunteer Intramural coaches.
  • TRAINING:
    • Spring / Fall:
      • Volunteer Intramural coaches will attempt to offer one team practice per week 
      • All intramural players are encouraged to supplement their intramural experience by registering for professional soccer training on Mondays and/or Wednesdays. Only $50 per season for 8-9 sessions. 
    • Winter: ​Intramural players are encouraged to supplement their experience by registering for an 8-session SUSA clinic at Bayside on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays. Registration directly with SUSA here.
  • DEVELOPMENTAL SOCCER:
    • NHP intramural U9 (not U10) players may also register for a Developmental Soccer Team (travel soccer).
    • Developmental teams are assigned based on ability and registered in an appropriate division in the NYCSL (New York Club Soccer League).
    • Developmental games will be in addition to the intramural game on Saturday mornings. Most games are played on Saturday afternoons or on Sundays.​ 
    • Developmental players cannot participate in developmental games if they miss the weekend's Intramural game.​

Girls Program

Session Details:
  • The Girls U9-10 division (or "under 9" and "under 10" division) is for 8-10 year old girls born in 2010-2011.
  • GAME TIMES:
    • Spring / Fall: Saturdays from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M.
    • Winter: Saturdays between 9am and 2pm. Schedule will be clarified in late December.

Uniform Information:

Registration DOES NOT include a uniform. Your child's uniform must be purchased at Sport Loft, 1001 Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park, NY. 516-437-6403. Inform Sport Loft that you have registered with the New Hyde Park Wildcats Intramural Program. U8 - U10 requires a size 4 soccer ball. Additionally, all players must wear shin guards under soccer socks and soccer cleats.

NOTE: If you son or daughter played U6, U7, U8 or U9 Soccer, and his/her uniform still fits, it may be used throughout Intramurals


Registration Fees / Information
  • Spring / Fall fee: $145 | Winter registration fee: $150.00
  • Late fees of $25 for will be effective on August 19, 2019.
  • Late registration cannot guarantee placement on a team if the session has filled to capacity.
  • Registration will CLOSE on September 3, 2019. No exceptions will be made existing members of the club (who will have receive plenty of reminders!)
  • All Registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • Any coach or teammate requests should be made in the Comment section of the registration.
  • Late Fees will not be waived except for first time registrants in the club.
  • New registrants may be asked to provide proof of age.​
  • Registration for Fall 2019 is open. Games begin on September 3, 2019.
