As a bit of a "State of the Club", we thought we'd provide an update about some of the progress of our soccer programs, as well as some of our individual teams. We continue to focus on our mission of providing a fun, high-quality soccer experience that encourages sportsmanship and a love of the game by developing each player and meeting them where they are, and we are finding more and more ways to do this each year.
Travel Program
The New Hyde Park Wildcats Soccer Club ended a very successful Spring 2015 travel season. Three teams claimed spring division titles:
Finally, four U10 teams will take to the field to begin their travel journeys this fall season: the BU10 Panthers, the BU10 Firecats, the BU10 Jungle Cats, and the GU10 Lady Leopards.
The Fall 2015 travel season will be another competitive and fun season for the NHP Wildcats Soccer Club!
Intramural and Micro Programs
The 2015 Fall season will again see more growth for the NHP Wildcats Soccer Club's intramural program. Ranging in age from U4-U14, the Wildcat program provides parents opportunities for their children to enjoy soccer on a variety of levels. In its 39th year, the club is proud to remain committed to offering one of Long Island's best intramural soccer experiences. The club's Micro program for U4-U5 introduces the game soccer in a fun and engaging way, and the club's partnership with the NY Red Bulls continues to thrive for these young players. Beyond Micro, the heart of the club remains the U6-U10 intramural program. In addition to the the weekly intramural game experience, the club offers up to two training sessions per week with professional trainers from Coastal Soccer for players to enjoy. Additionally, at U8 and U9, players can participate in a Developmental team experience. This extra soccer compliments the club's weekly intramural game by offering players the chance to compete against other soccer clubs. Most age groups also supplement the intramural season with intramural soccer tournaments. For non-travel players, the club's senior intramural team, U11-U14, will once again provide a fun soccer outlet for many players to embrace.
The club remains focused on its intramural players. Intramural membership affords many Wildcat benefits: reduced training rates, access to summer training series, and a comprehensive Winter soccer experience including training and league teams. We are able to offer these additional experiences because of both the dedication of our volunteers as well as our expanding partnership with Coastal Soccer (now SUSA). Whether your child is a first time player or a seasoned dribbler, the NHP Wildcat Soccer Club's intramural soccer program will provide the right layering of soccer for their development.
If you have any questions or thoughts about how we can further improve our program, we'd love to hear from you. And certainly, if you share our excitement about some of the great things happening within the club, we'd appreciate you helping to spread the word to the greater community.
